Job Description

The candidate shall perform the following tasks:

  • Provide support in planning, integrating, and managing the knowledge and information management tasks/priorities of JSOU.
  • Design and implement effective learning activities and support information.
  • Manage knowledge-sharing event content.
  • Build collaborative environments and transform organizations into rapid-learning environments.
  • Develop innovative knowledge mapping techniques and create a Knowledge Management (KM) vision.
  • Update and maintain university knowledge bases.
  • Format, publish, and maintain products for the university’s dissemination domains (i.e. Commercial, Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPR), and customer Partner Networks).
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft O365 and Adobe (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint) to complete duties.
  • Conduct research, as required.
  • Recommend knowledge content including its structure, and how it will be shared, controlled, and made easily accessible to meet the needs of the university.
  • Assist in interviewing stakeholders to capture and evaluate how their requirements can be implemented within SharePoint, O365, and other commercial or custom applications.
  • Educate front-end users on the knowledge management tools (SharePoint/O365).
  • Provide recommendations for the development of KM tools and offer results by designing and implementing SharePoint process improvement solutions.
  • Advise in the development of KM Standard Operating Procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Knowledge Management (KM) from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or internationally recognized college/university.
    • 5 years’ experience in KM, Intelligence Analysis, or systems related career field.
    • 3 years’ experience in SharePoint business processes.
    • Demonstrated expert written and oral communication skills.
    • 3 years’ experience writing work instructions or procedures.
    • 3 years’ experience with auditing Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions as well as corrective/preventive action is preferred.
