WWC Global, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist – Waterfront Representative to support the Commander Naval Surface Forces – Pacific (CNSP). This role combines expertise in knowledge management and change management with a strong understanding of surface ship maintenance policies and depot maintenance availability to ensure critical information is accessible, accurate, and effectively used to preserve material readiness and support planning and execution across Surface Fleet stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the waterfront representative leveraging comprehensive understanding of ship maintenance policies and processes to support requirements for material readiness, planning, and execution of depot maintenance availabilities.
- Represent the government client by providing oversight, direction, and advisory in major maintenance/modernization planning and execution.
- Ensure lessons learned in advanced planning and execution are addressed across all ship classes while maintaining high standards for depot maintenance availabilities.
- Ensure Maintenance Team compliance with Fleet Maintenance and Modernization policies.
- Provide expertise and continuity to assigned ships and Maintenance teams in defining maintenance requirements and managing maintenance to maximize readiness.
- Prepare reports and correspondence related to surface ship maintenance progress, problems, and solutions.
- Investigate significant incidents affecting costs, schedule adherence, contractor performance, and material support.
- Develop risk-assessed evaluations of new or growth work modifications.
- Perform evaluations and propose improvements for future modernization planning activities.
- Participate in special projects aimed at improving maintenance management processes or surface ship maintenance execution.
- Prepare and deliver briefings for leadership, distilling complex information, outcomes, and recommendations in clear, actionable formats.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase user engagement and adoption of new systems and processes.
- Communicate changes effectively and address stakeholder concerns to ensure smooth transitions.
- Assess current knowledge management and SharePoint practices, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging techniques to recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s Degree with 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma with 12 years of experience.
- Current, active Secret security clearance.
- Direct experience with surface ship maintenance policies, processes, and strategies.
- Thorough knowledge of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID.
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; WWC Global will not sponsor work visas for this position.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with project management and risk mitigation.
- Direct experience with the U.S. Military, with U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, or other shipboard experience highly preferred.
- Executive-level skills in oral and written communications.
Work Environment
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
- Ability to work in confined areas.

Pay
Expected salary range: $90,000 - $110,000
