About the role
Columbus is looking for a kitchen assistant for a maternity cover position in our production kitchen at Columbus Syd on Vesterbro, starting October 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is 35 hours per week. You will join a kitchen that prepares meals for approximately 160 children and 35 adults daily. We have a busy environment but value both efficiency and a pleasant workplace. The position is initially a maternity cover, with the possibility of permanent employment afterward.
Responsibilities
- Dishwashing using our modern dishwasher
- Assistance with preparation of daily meals
- Baking bread
- Arranging and preparing food
- Decoration, cleaning, and other practical kitchen tasks
- Food preparation during holidays and absences
Qualifications
- Hygiene certificate
- Experience from a larger kitchen is preferred
- Interest in working with food for children
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
- Quick on your feet and productive
- Thrive in a workday with occasional high pace
- A good colleague who contributes to the positive atmosphere at Columbus

Schedule
Working hours are between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
