Complaint Process
If you wish to file a complaint about the FSC system, the FSC network (including an FSC office and FSC International), certification bodies, or FSC’s accreditation body Assurance Services International (ASI), complete the form via this link. Under "Specific Inquiries," you can specify the subject of your complaint. Examples include:
- Certification Process, if the complaint concerns a certification process (issuance, suspension, or termination of certificates, or complaints about certification bodies' evaluations/decisions).
- Standards Or Processes, if the complaint concerns one of FSC's standards.
- In The Forest Or Supply Chain, if the complaint concerns something in a forest or supply chain (e.g., a company’s compliance with the Policy for Association).
- With an FSC Decision, if the complaint concerns a decision made by FSC.
You may also complain directly to certification bodies about their decisions and evaluations regarding the issuance, suspension, or termination of a certificate. FSC recommends this as the first step. You can find all FSC-accredited certification bodies in the FSC database.
Complaints regarding certification bodies are handled by FSC’s accreditation body, Assurance Services International (ASI).
If you wish to complain about a certified company or forest property, contact the certification body that issued the certificate. Search for the company’s name in the FSC database to find its certificate, which will display an FSC certificate code (for forest properties: XXX-FM/COC-000000; for companies: XXX-COC-000000). The letter combination before "FM/COC" or "COC" identifies the certification body. Use this to find their contact details in the FSC database.
FSC recommends first approaching the company or forest property you wish to complain about, as certified entities have established complaint-handling procedures. To appeal a certification body’s handling of a complaint, submit it here.

Reporting Trademark Misuse
If you suspect misuse of FSC’s trademarks or have documentation of it, please contact us. FSC trademarks are registered and require a trademark license or certification for use. Misuse undermines FSC’s credibility, so we take it seriously. Provide specific details by emailing fsclogo@dk.fsc.org or calling +45 8870 9518. Your report will be handled anonymously.
Verifying FSC Certificates and License Holders
Check the validity of an FSC certificate or license in the FSC database. FSC-certified companies have a license code in the format FSC®-C000000. This code appears alongside the FSC label on products or marketing materials and can be verified in the database. Companies with a trademark license have a code in the format FSC®-N000000 and may use FSC trademarks only in marketing and communication.

How We Work
At FSC Denmark, we collaborate with members and partners to create real impact for the world’s forests. Our work is built on partnerships, joint initiatives, and cross-sector networks. We also host popular networks focused on topics like circularity, data, and Chain of Custody (CoC).
Focus Areas
We work to increase awareness of the FSC label in Denmark and expand the market share of FSC-certified products. Our focus areas include projects, networks, and advocacy to promote responsible forest use. We engage with the public sector, Danish forestry, NGOs, and industries using wood, paper, and other forest-based materials.
Board of Directors
Like the rest of the FSC organization, FSC Denmark has a board representing social, environmental, and economic stakeholders. View board members, their motivations, and meeting minutes or organizational documents.
