About the role

A Dumpling Trainee is tasked with preparing, measuring, cutting dough, rolling dumpling/bun skins, stuffing, closing, arranging dumplings/buns in a steamer, adding meat and allergen identifiers, steaming dumplings/buns, maintaining a clean working space and dumpling room, labeling all items in accordance with regulations and procedures, attending monthly staff and dumpling meetings, keeping all kitchen areas clean and sanitized, organizing items within the walk-in coolers and freezers, lifting/moving boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds), assisting with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen, maintaining confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s”), and performing any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Friendly, energetic, highly motivated people
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Dumpling experience is not required
  • Experience in prep, specifically with dough (pastry, pizza, etc.) is a plus
  • Open availability
  • Eager to learn, enjoys to be challenged
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Qualifications

Applicant must be 18 years of age or older and able to provide documentation to work in the United States legally.
