Kitchen Hood Technician

Responsibilities

• The inspection, installation, and service of Kitchen Hood Suppression Systems, Paint Booths, and their components to ensure proper functionality.
• Inspect Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose, Emergency and Exit Lights.
• Service any Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hoses, and Emergency and Exit Lights that need maintenance.
• Sell new Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hoses, Emergency and Exit Lights.
• Ensure customers understand the functionality of their system.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices.
• Open-minded willingness for continual learning.
• Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values.
• May be required to perform work outside of scheduled work hours, including working second and third shifts and overtime, as necessary.

Requirements

• 4 yrs. of experience installation or service of kitchen hood suppression systems.
• Pass drug and background screenings.
• Mechanical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Pre-Engineered Extinguishing Equipment Fire Life Safety experience.
• Restaurant/Kitchen experience.
• Route sales or sales experience.
• Kitchen Hood or Paint Booth Vendor Certifications.

Skills

• Physical Demands: Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
• Lift and carry at least 75 lbs.; push and pull more significant than 75 lbs.
• Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises.

Pay

Up to $25-32/hour, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE.

7:00am - 3:45pm Hours could vary.
