About the Role
As a Kitchen Cleaner, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment that meets all health and safety regulations. Typical duties include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, appliances, sinks, walls, floors, and fixtures
- Sweeping and mopping using appropriate cleaning products
- Washing kitchen mats and helping with trash, recycling, and food waste removal
- Monitoring cleaning supply levels and restocking as needed
- Reporting maintenance issues or hazards to management
- Following all food safety and sanitation standards
- Assisting with dishwashing or general cleaning tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods (7–12 hours depending on shift length)
- Able to lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hot, and humid environment
- Prior kitchen or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required
