About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Kitchen Cleaner. The successful candidate is responsible for heavy-duty cleaning of kitchen equipment and facilities while following proper sanitation and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Cleans heavy-duty kitchen equipment and facilities (e.g., broilers, ovens, fryers, floors, ice machine, etc.).
• Follows and completes cleaning assignments in accordance with monthly cleaning lists and daily assignment sheets.
• Transports garbage from kitchen/cafeteria to outside dumpsters.
• Complies with departmental and hospital-wide policies pertaining to proper sanitation and infection control procedures.
• Uses correct cleaning chemicals for designated cleaning tasks and ensures all chemicals are stored in the chemical closet at the end of the shift.
• Delivers food and beverages for catering functions as assigned.
• Practices safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong communication (both oral and written) and customer service skills.
• Ability to read well and write legibly.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in food service.
• Professional certifications related to the position (if applicable).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $47,979.15 - $47,979.15 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
