Kitchen Assistant / Dishwasher

About the role

The Avaline at River Oaks, a Claiborne Senior Living managed community, is hiring a Kitchen Assistant / Dishwasher to support their dining services. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a welcoming and high-quality dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities

• Transport dishes, utensils, and equipment to and from the kitchen
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store all kitchen items
• Keep the dish room, kitchen, and dining areas clean and organized
• Assist with kitchen breakdown and daily cleaning tasks
• Support dining room service when needed
• Maintain a safe environment by following sanitation and safety standards
• Interact with residents, families, and guests in a friendly and professional way
• Communicate any concerns about resident well-being to your supervisor
• Work as part of a team to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous restaurant or dining experience preferred
• Experience working with seniors is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety
• Team player with a positive, reliable attitude
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Previous restaurant or dining experience preferred. Experience working with seniors is a plus. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain a strong attention to cleanliness and safety, and be a team player with a positive, reliable attitude. Must also be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
