Kitchen Assistant/Dietary Aide - Bethlehem

About the role
As part of an exciting expansion, Senior LIFE seeks a hardworking, dedicated, and compassionate Kitchen Assistant/Dietary Aide. Working alongside the Kitchen Manager, you will prepare meals and assist members with eating and cleanup. This is a hands-on position where you will collaborate with LIFE Center staff and elderly members who may require special assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and service
- Set tables, set up and serve trays, and pour beverages
- Assist during meal times as needed and visit members in dining areas
- Clean up dining, dietary, and day rooms before and after meal services
- Ensure safe, responsible use of food preparation and service equipment, plus proper storage after use
- Sanitize work spaces following meal preparation
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year’s experience working with geriatric patients
- Experience in a food service and/or preparation role
- Compassion, a positive attitude, and a desire to help others
- Ability to effectively communicate special requests and concerns from staff, members, and families
- Final candidate must pass an adult CPR course if not already certified
Schedule
Full-time, daylight hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
