About the role
The Kinship Navigator is responsible for providing support and guidance to families navigating the kinship care system.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and practical support to kinship caregivers
- Assist in accessing resources and services for kinship families
- Maintain regular contact with kinship families to monitor their needs
- Collaborate with other social service agencies to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in family support or social work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
