Kindergarten Teacher – Village Elementary School

MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles are critical in shaping the educational experiences of students and supporting school communities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with state and district standards.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by school leadership (e.g., committee work, extracurricular supervision).

Requirements

  • Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility for alternative certification pathways.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving educational landscapes and district priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (required).
  • Master’s degree or advanced coursework in education (preferred for some roles).
  • Prior teaching or administrative experience in K-12 settings (varies by position).
  • Familiarity with Michigan’s educational standards and assessment frameworks.
