Kindergarten Teacher

Role Description

The Kindergarten Teacher role at Movement Christian Academy is a part-time, on-site position located in Celina, TX. This educator will plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for kindergarten learners in the central classroom, integrating academic, social, and spiritual growth. The teacher will coordinate closely with parents, providing clear instructions and resources for the satellite classroom to ensure consistency between home and school learning. Daily responsibilities include managing classroom routines, assessing student progress, differentiating instruction, and maintaining a positive, nurturing learning environment. The Kindergarten Teacher will also participate in team meetings, collaborate with school leadership, and support the academy’s Christ-centered mission.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Education and Teaching, with experience in early childhood or elementary settings.
• Strong Lesson Planning and curriculum implementation skills tailored to kindergarten learners.
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues.
• Experience in Training or mentoring parents or caregivers as partners in the learning process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification or licensure preferred.
• Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Comfort working within a Christ-centered educational context and supporting faith-integrated learning.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and professionalism in coordinating central and satellite classroom activities.
