About the role
The Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment where young learners can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. This is a full-time role and will report to the Principal.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a curriculum that supports the academic, social, and spiritual growth of young learners.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to meet individual needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Support the school's mission and values through daily interactions and decision-making.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- At least two years of teaching experience at the kindergarten level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.

- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices.
