KILN OPERATOR Weekend 2nd shift

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DUTIES) OF THE JOB: Loads/Unloads cores in setters and/or saggers per PC instructionsLoads/Unloads setters and/or saggers onto kiln beds. Pyrometric cones/temp check tabs Transfers setters into and out of setter storage area. Evaluate setters for serviceability.Maintain location recordsLoads/Unloads core into prebake and anneal oven per PC instructionsPeriodically records data from kilns. Immediately reports any apparent malfunctions of the kilnsAccurately records all data as required and assures that all previous operations have been completedProlonged exposure to radiant heat from furnaces, hot vessels, hot metal, and hot tasks where there is a clear sensation of warmth on the skin for at least 15 minutes.Performs other duties as directed by facilitatorsMaintain clean work areaObserve safety policies and regulations Qualifications JOB STANDARDS: (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS) Employees in this role are expected to work on all holidays that occur during their scheduled work week. High school diploma or GED equivalencyAbility to read and comprehend written instructionsMental and visual attentionPerform to productivity and quality standardsAbility to safely work in a team-oriented environmentEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
