About the role

At Watlow’s Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Columbia, Missouri, we combine precision manufacturing with forward-thinking innovation. This operator role is a challenging opportunity for an individual interested in producing high-quality products that enrich the lives of others. The role contributes to all phases of the production process using autonomy, mastery, and purpose, working under direct supervision on standardized duties and tasks. The ideal candidate will work effectively both individually and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions
• Operate equipment, tools, and machinery to prepare and assemble product
• Assure product meets all quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Meet production metrics (takt time)
• Check and fill out necessary reports, manufacturing orders, scrap, rejects, and production times

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED certificate or equivalent (preferred)
• Basic math skills
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Established good attendance record at previous employment
• Work history does not exceed more than two jobs in the past year

Qualifications

• Up to three years of related manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge with basic computer systems
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Willingness to be a cross-functional team member
• Ability to learn new skills and follow directions

Pay

Starting pay: $19.73 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential.

Schedule

• Shift Hours: 4:30 PM – 4:30 AM, Friday–Sunday
• 36-hour workweek with 40 hours of pay
