Kids World Program Lead

About the role

The Kids World Program Manager will assist the Kids World Coordinator in providing high-quality child care before and/or after school. They will represent Faribault Public Schools positively and manage the site before and/or after school at Roosevelt, Jefferson, and Lincoln.

Responsibilities

• Interacts directly with students and families to enhance and support their enrichment experience and ensure success
• Plans and implements age-appropriate activities for youth
• Ensures the use of best practices in a child care setting for children, youth, and adults
• Provides overall site management before and/or after school at Roosevelt, Jefferson, and Lincoln
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Flexibility, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to provide consistency
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills
• Innovative problem-solver, self-starter, and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Understanding of Faribault Public Schools policies and structure
• Knowledge of Child Care Certifications and Accreditation requirements
• Proven customer service skills
• Proven resourcefulness
• Excellent attendance record
• Team player who possesses group-thinking skills
• Experience with Eleyo and Google
• Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish or Somali)

Education and Experience

• A.A. Degree in Child Development or related education field
• At least two years of postsecondary education or on track for a degree in education or a related field
• Minimum of two years working with Kids World or another child care organization or educational setting
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Experience working in Special Education
• First Aid and CPR Certified

Pay and Benefits

Pay rate: $22.23 per hour. Additional bonus stipend for hours directly working with children may be issued quarterly as long as funding is available through MN DHS Great Start Compensation Support Program.

Position Details

• Position is Monday through Friday
• Applicants must be available to work during program hours before school from 6:15am - 8:00 or 9:00am and/or after school from 2:45pm - 5:30pm
• Shifts will be a set schedule and may range from 2 hours up to 3.75 hours per day
• The location of this position may vary between Roosevelt, Jefferson and Lincoln Schools
• This position requires working on non-school days
• This position will begin approximately August 31st
