All Federal employees must remain drug‑free; illegal drug use, including marijuana, will result in penalties up to removal from Federal service. A positive drug test for marijuana will withdraw the tentative job offer and disqualify the applicant from DoD positions for six months. All individuals providing child‑care services on a Department of Navy installation must complete the Installation Records Check (IRC), which includes checks of substance‑abuse, family advocacy, and security databases. Convictions for sexual offenses, child‑victim crimes, felony drug offenses, or negligent civil judgments related to child injury or death will result in automatic disqualification.
