Job Summary

The Kids Club Attendant is responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for children at the club. This role supports supervising children, ensuring their safety, and facilitating fun and creative activities that promote learning and development. The Attendant will foster a positive, playful atmosphere while ensuring parents feel confident their children are in capable hands.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a courteous and tactful demeanor when dealing with members/guests and their children.
• Connect with members regularly and promote club/children’s activities.
• Promote the youth/day care center amenities, programs, and the club while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service.
• Coordinate activities and programs with children based on age, interests, etc.
• Monitor and actively participate with children, ensuring constant supervision.
• Deal appropriately with problem behaviors of children in the youth/day care center.
• Assist children with any help needed, including serving lunch or dinner with drinks.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the youth/day care center and complete daily assignments.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification to ensure child safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a day care, camp, or educational setting.
• Experience in child supervision, activity planning, or youth programs.
• Familiarity with health and safety protocols for childcare environments.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff.
• Ability to manage and engage a group of young children in fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children of various ages.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure a safe and structured environment for the children.

Physical Requirements

Engage in physical activities with children, frequent sitting, standing, walking, and driving. Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases. Squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. on occasion. Talking, hearing, and seeing.

Work Schedule

Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines. Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required.
