Kid's Ministry Director/Pastor

About the role

Pathway Church is a 4,500+ member church in Redding, CA. Our Kids Ministry serves and disciples ~300 kids every week across Early Childhood and Elementary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Kids Ministry across: Early Childhood (birth–pre-K) and Elementary (K–5th)
• Combine pastoral heart (discipleship, care, spiritual leadership) with operational strength (systems, volunteers, reliable weekend environments)
• Make measurable progress in:
• Volunteer health and growth
• Recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and retaining a strong volunteer team
• Programming quality and consistency
• Engaging, Christ-centered environments with dependable weekend execution
• Safety and operational excellence
• Strong systems for check-in, classroom coverage, child safety, communication rhythms, and admin processes
• Parent partnership
• Clear communication and practical resources that help parents disciple at home

Qualifications

• Clear commitment to Jesus Christ, Scripture, and the gospel

• Demonstrated ability to lead people (staff and/or volunteers) with clarity and care
• Strong execution skills: planning, organizing, improving systems, and follow-through

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience leading larger ministries and/or high-volume weekend environments
• Track record building volunteer pipelines and developing volunteer leaders
• Ministry training/credentialing consistent with a pastor-track role
