Key Holder

About the role

As a Key Holder at Cycle Gear, you will provide every customer with a great experience, maintain strong product knowledge, and serve as an essential sales leader for the store. You will be involved in all store operations, including opening and closing procedures, administering returns and store credit, handling special orders, and delegating tasks among Sales Associates. The role embodies the company’s five core values and offers opportunities for growth, training, and representation at special events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and a superior shopping experience.
• Achieve daily sales objectives and act as a sales leader for the team.
• Maintain store aesthetics by cleaning, stocking, organizing, and following merchandising plans.
• Stay up‑to‑date with brand and product knowledge, company information, and sales events.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, process returns/store credit, and manage special orders.
• Divide tasks among Sales Associates and ensure smooth store operations.
• Contribute ideas, take calculated risks, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Participate in wellness programs, safety committees, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Key Holder or Sales Lead experience, or equivalent retail leadership role.
• 2+ years of sales or customer service experience.
• Self‑starter mentality with a consistent track record of delivering personalized retail experiences.
• Open mind, eagerness to learn, and passion for the riding community.
• Experience with computers and POS systems (RetailPro preferred).
• Motorcycle riding experience, knowledge, or strong interest (highly desired but not required).

Pay

Average total pay ranges from $13.50 to $19+ per hour, comprising an hourly base rate plus an uncapped tiered commission structure based on meeting sales goals.
