About the role

You will take over the following tasks:

  • Working as Project Leader for the technical implementation of projects at the key account in the consumer electronic industry by developing and providing adhesive solutions.
  • Analyze customer needs and determine technical and process-related requirements.
  • Continuous and frequent/project-related coordination with the customer and the technical departments at DELO headquarters in Germany and subsidiaries (Technology Center, Process Management, Product Management and Research & Development).
  • Building up application-specific process know-how and support the customer Contract manufacturer to implement the process.
  • Proactively guide and coordinate participating colleagues in other sales regions for these projects.
  • Tracking and identifying technical trends relevant to the specific key account and deriving possible fields of application (trend scouting).
  • Exchange with experts to gain technical information on future trends or running projects (road map meetings).
  • Providing feedback to and working in close cooperation with the Global Key Account Manager.

Requirements

  • Located in the Greater San Jose Area (CA).
  • Engineering degree, e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering or similar technical areas (Bachelor’s required, Master welcome).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical corporate environment – preferably as Sales or Application Engineer in the adhesive sector or similar industries such as surface treatment, consumer electronics, Semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Prior expertise in adhesives is not required as you will get intensive and exciting training in Germany.
  • Willingness to travel.
