About the role
North America’s largest manufacturer and distributor of interior millwork is seeking a Territory Manager to drive sales, margin, and customer relationships in their assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales, margin, and overall customer relationships with accounts in the assigned region.
- Generate new accounts in the selected area and determine potential growth within existing accounts.
- Seek out new profitable opportunities while safeguarding current business, ensuring both short-term and long-term financial gains for the branch.
- Achieve sales targets aligned with branch/region financial and customer targets.
- Foster close customer relationships to enter markets with a leading market share for Metrie.
- Effectively represent Metrie’s interests when dealing with customers, the community, employees, and suppliers.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Door experience.
- Experience in dealing with purchasing agents, senior buyers, and small business owners.
- A passion for customer service and building rapport with prospective and existing customers.
- A strong analytical skill set and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
- A valid driver’s license for business travel purposes.
- Experience selling or dealing with customers in construction/building materials (flooring, concrete, millwork, etc.) is a plus.
Qualifications
- Proficient in web-based computer systems (SAP, HubSpot, and Microsoft Office Suite - Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills for a fast-paced environment.

Pay
Competitive base salary and sales incentive program.
Schedule
This role is remote and requires travel between Connecticut, Central and Western Massachusetts, and North of New York City. The ideal candidate will be based somewhere between Springfield, MA and New Haven, CT.
