About the role
Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, providing insights and answers that help healthcare providers, patients, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and health systems make confident decisions and improve outcomes. This field-based Key Account (Sales) Executive position is based in Waldorf, MD, and covers an assigned territory. The ideal candidate would reside in the territory.
Responsibilities
- Educate, instruct, and upsell all assigned and newly generated accounts in an assigned territory
- Act as a liaison between the client and the Labcorp operations team in relation to client needs
- Provide ongoing service and problem resolution to customer base to ensure customer retention
- Recommend client-focused and persuasive solutions
- Provide account management for client’s day-to-day operations
- Upsell current book of business to increase organic growth
- Work closely with senior sales representatives to grow book of business
- Continuously provide educational material to the client base
- Resolve any customer-related issues in a timely manner
- Meet and exceed monthly retention and upsell goals on a regular basis
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 3 or more years of previous outside sales experience or account management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven success managing a book of business
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Superior customer service skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, competitive market
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to travel overnight as needed
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Pay
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annual base pay range. The position is also eligible for bonus and/or commissions under the applicable variable compensation plan, earned based on achievement of performance metrics.
