About the role

The Carroll Area Technology Center in Carrollton, KY is seeking a Kentucky Tech Center Principal who is dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management and supervision of personnel, programs, and curriculum development in the center.
  • Develop annual and long-range plans for vocational education programs to meet the needs of business and industry.
  • Cookordinate operations, implementation and evaluation of the secondary, postsecondary, and adult upgrade programs in the center.
  • Provide guidance to teachers in curriculum development, instruction, preparation of records, professional development and other matters.
  • Serve as a liaison between Kentucky Tech, local school districts and the business community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Applicants must hold one of the following:
    • Kentucky Vocational Principal's Certificate or Kentucky statement of Eligibility for Vocational Principal;
    • Kentucky Secondary Principal's Certificate or Kentucky Statement of Eligibility for Secondary Principal, or a valid Kentucky Certificate for Career and Technical Education;
    • Kentucky Department of Education Vocational Technical School Certificate in Administration, Supervision, and Coordination (issued prior to 1988)
  • Experience, Training, or Skills: None
  • Substitute Education for Experience: None
  • Substitute Experience for Education: None
  • Special Requirements (Age, Licensure, Regulation, etc.): None

Qualifications

Salary: Dependent on rank and experience

In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System.

Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.

Applicants under contract with a local school district must submit a written release from their superintendent before an offer of employment can be extended.
