About the role

The Carroll Area Technology Center in Carrollton, KY is seeking an Electrical Instructor who is dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

Salary: Dependent on rank and experience
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System.

Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.

Applicants under contract with a local school district must submit a written release from their superintendent before an offer of employment can be extended.

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught; OR
  • Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught; OR
  • Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.

Skills

Special requirements include:

  • Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (A+Cert, NCCER, ABC, AGC, ASE).
  • If not already acquired, must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.
