Responsibilities
- Explain and promote Keno to new and continuing players.
- Collect, process, and return guest’s tickets and/or winnings.
- Monitor and control Keno systems so that games run in a timely manner.
- Accept guest tickets, write tickets, make change, answer questions, and make payouts.
- Use Keno system control station to start all keno games.
- Check that all tickets are written before starting game.
- Monitor pace of games and shift personnel, if necessary, to quicken games.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for large payouts, including regulation 6A.
- Maintain main Keno bank so that the established amount will always be accounted for.
- Use main bank to make fills and change for writer/runner’s banks.
- Reconcile main bank at end of shift and turn over to on-coming Lead Writer.
- During slow or closed times, replenish or organize Keno paper, crayons, pay books, and pay cards in holders on tables and bars in restaurants and casino areas.
- Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
Requirements
- Operate computer systems, including Keno system terminal and Keno ticket printer.
- Collect information and solve customer concerns promptly and efficiently.
- Provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance to guests.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language for completing reports, correspondence, and communicating with guests and team members.
- Proficiency in complex reading, simple writing, math, and task completion skills.
- Skills in clerical work, coordination, supervising, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgement, and decision making.
- Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
Physical Demands
- Constantly standing, walking, occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, and kneeling during the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs or less constantly and 50 lbs or less frequently.
- Constant repetitive use of both feet and hands, requiring constant light and firm/strong grasping motions.
- Constant finger dexterity of both hands.
- Constant use of vision abilities, including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
- Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others.
- Face-to-face interactions, including verbal contact with others around computer equipment, electrical devices, and other mechanical devices.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
- May be exposed to dirt/dust, odor, and/or secondhand smoke.
