Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Executes the production plan and coordinates process, people, and performance to achieve production quality and uptime standards on the shift.
- Ensures shift is performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Affirmative role in enforcing food safety program and procedures, GMP policy, and personnel hygiene policies.
- Supports in the efforts of onboarding, training, and reviewing.
- Develops a consciousness for the need for teamwork to attain department objectives.
- Organizes work for smooth operations, which includes maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
- Verifies that proper documentation is completed accurately, timely, and properly filed.
- Sustains and involves in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
- Continuously looks for opportunities to improve the current processes.
- All other duties as assigned and needed to support operations.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Two plus years in a leadership role preferred.
- Dedicated approach to safety, quality, delivery and costs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as GMP guidance, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and understand company information technology systems.
- Able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, 50 pounds frequently, and 75+ pounds with assistance, on a daily basis.
- Ability to lift, twist, crawl, reach, grab, bend, stoop, climb, or perform similar activities as needed and stand for long periods.
Work Conditions
- Must wear personnel protective equipment as needed.
- Subject to normal warehouse and production environment.
- Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required.
- Subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes from the machines, odors, powders, dust, and other particles.
Pay
Salary is dependent upon experience and internal and external salary conditions.
