Descriptions/ Job Summary Kennel Technician Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time available, Hourly Competitive pay rates Global K9 Protection Group LLC is looking for a dedicated and passionate Kennel Technician to serve as an integral part of the GK9PG Team. Responsibilities Feed animals as prescribed by Kennel ManagerGroom and bath caninesAssist doctors and kennel manager with the administration of medications or with patient restraintAssist VeterinariansCollect urine and fecal specimensMaintain the cleanliness of the kennel area each day and carry out according to the schedule: daily, weekly, and monthly etc.Ability to follow a regular schedule for cleaning and sanitizing, using chemicals and supplies: including but not limited to kennel area, cages, runs, wards and related areas; changes litter boxes and food/water bowlsRecognize and report any unusual condition or abnormal behaviorParticipate in all staff and training meetingsCommunicate with staff membersAbility to prioritize tasks Safety conscienceMaintain constant vigilanceAbility to keep oneself busy and productiveAbility to listen and follow oral and written instructionsPositive attitudeMaintain cooperative relationships with othersAssist others and be willing and able to teach and other staff members kennel skillsOther duties as assignedPhysical:Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
