Kennedy Valve- 2nd Shift Asset Protection Specialist

About the role
The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for protecting all Kennedy Valve physical assets and serving as the primary representative in daily interactions with Team Members, Visitors, Contractors, and Customers. This role collaborates closely with Health and Safety, Environmental, and Human Resources departments to ensure compliance with organizational standards and asset-related processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and secure environment for Team Members, Visitors, and Contractors.
- Serve as a forward-facing representative of Kennedy Valve, delivering high-quality customer service.
- Direct all incoming telephone calls to the appropriate department.
- Work with other departments to ensure adherence to asset-related processes and procedures.
- Communicate with Team Members, Visitors, and Contractors to resolve potential conflicts.
- Monitor and track all safety and environmental-related alarms, making timely notifications when alarms are triggered.
- Act as a First Responder when needed and assist in coordinating emergency response.
- Track and log waste shipments in and out of the facility.
- Collect, sign, and distribute delivery/service truck materials paperwork.
- Conduct routine rounds throughout the facility and grounds, monitoring for environmental and safety-related emergencies.
- Monitor physical security systems and other safety equipment.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; applicable certification preferred.
- Previous experience in Asset Protection, Security, or a related field (1-3 years preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills; professional in appearance and presentation; ability to handle stress and potential conflict situations.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other Team Members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Willingness to work rotating shift hours if needed, though rarely required.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Work Environment
- Standing or sitting at a desk for extended periods, walking throughout the facility, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds as required.
- Exposure to elements such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, and fumes.
- Primarily based inside the main entrance building, with rounds on the manufacturing floor and KV grounds; occasional outdoor tasks and interactions.

Pay
Salary range: $52,924–$65,377.
Schedule
Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
