About the Role
Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures. Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans. Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc. Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance. Supervises qualified trades staff; monitoring job and budget performance for all shifts.

- Monitor job and budget performance across all shifts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR
- Apprentice Certification OR
- High School Diploma and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, or military experience OR
- Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical field and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, and/or military experience.
Skills
- Pipe welding experience (preferred).
- Makeup Foreman experience (preferred).

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is $92,000.00 to $117,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Newport News Shipbuilding is offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus to new Foreman hires. Current Newport News Shipbuilding employees are eligible.
Schedule
- Full-Time.
- Multiple shifts available.
- Travel required: 10%-25% of the time.
