K-12 Long-Term Substitute Teachers

About the Role

Legacy Solutions, Inc. is seeking dedicated, dependable, and passionate Long-Term Substitute Teachers to support our Metro Atlanta charter school partners. This role provides high-quality classroom instruction during extended teacher absences, with assignments ranging from several weeks to an entire semester.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily instruction aligned with lesson plans and curriculum.
• Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate attendance and classroom records.
• Participate in grade-level meetings, professional development, and other school activities as requested.
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Georgia Teaching Certification preferred but not required for all assignments.
• Previous classroom teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to different school environments and grade levels.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and onboarding requirements.

Preferred Candidates

• Available for long-term assignments.
• Can commit to working Monday through Friday during the duration of the assignment.
• Have experience teaching in Elementary (K–5) or Middle/High School (6–12) classrooms.
• Flexible, dependable, and student-focused.
