K-1 Bilingual (Spanish) Instructional Aide

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional Certification
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• High expectations for primary age students
• Experience working with young children preferred

Performance Responsibilities

• Provide academic support and implement interventions for small groups of students
• Undertake direct supervision of the classroom teacher
• Afford assistance to the teacher with supervision of students
• Assist with monitoring students during arrival and dismissal, recess, lunch, and otherwise as needed
• Assist with the individual needs of students under the direction of the teacher and/or principal
• Adjust daily schedule in the best interest of students as communicated by the teacher and/or principal
• Demonstrate cooperation, courtesy and willingness to improve conditions and situations involving staff, parents and students
• Attend work regularly, dress appropriately, be conscious of responsibilities, maintain confidentiality, and conduct tasks with integrity
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal and/or teacher
