Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT SOX Analyst to support a client with focused engagement testing IT Application Controls (ITACs), with an emphasis on system-generated calculation controls. This role will play a key part in evaluating control design and execution across financial systems, as well as providing input into the overall ITAC testing strategy and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute testing of approximately 28 IT Application Controls (ITACs)
- Focus on system calculation controls, including: Amortization calculations, Gain/Loss calculations, Earned interest calculations, and other automated/system-driven financial controls
- Assess control design and operating effectiveness in accordance with SOX requirements
- Document test procedures, findings, and conclusions in a clear and audit-ready format
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Finance, and Internal Audit to obtain evidence and clarify control processes
- Provide input on ITAC testing approach, including scoping and methodology
- Contribute to risk assessment activities related to financial systems and controls
- Identify control gaps and provide recommendations for remediation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT SOX compliance and ITAC testing
- Strong understanding of automated/application controls within financial systems
- Familiarity with SOX frameworks and control documentation standards
- Ability to assess risk and contribute to control scoping and testing strategy
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Experience working with auditors or internal audit teams preferred
