About the role
Manage and direct the activities of a specific treatment unit, ensuring all Abraxas policies and procedures are followed. Serve as the primary role model for employees, leading, directing, guiding, and supporting them to promote their growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage for safety.
- Develop and implement systems to organize and monitor work activities.
- Structure, implement, and facilitate new employee on-the-job orientation.
- Conduct effective supervisory conferences and performance evaluations, documenting content and providing feedback.
- Schedule employee training to meet mandatory training requirements.
- Interact with and supervise clients during daily activities to ensure their safety and security.
- Maintain regular communication with supervisors and co-workers.
- Provide effective facility security, including conducting headcounts, room checks, and observing client movement.
- Observe client behavior and intervene appropriately.
- Process intakes and screen clients according to program policy.
- Support Abraxas philosophy and mission, promoting the Seven Key Principles of care among case management staff.
- Demonstrate appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management techniques and skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human services field and one-year experience in residential treatment, OR Associate’s degree and three (3) years’ work experience with children.
- Prior supervisory experience is required.
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Physical exams including TB and drug testing.
- Pass federal and state background checks.
- Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks.
- Ability to work with computers and necessary software.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in human services field and one-year experience in residential treatment, OR Associate’s degree and three (3) years’ work experience with children. Prior supervisory experience is required.
- Other Qualifications: At least twenty-one (21) years of age, valid Driver's License, physical exams including TB and drug testing, passing federal and state background checks, satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks, ability to work with computers and necessary software.

Schedule
Full-Time
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm)
Must be available to work weekends!
