About the role
The Juvenile Justice department at OhioGuidestone is seeking a passionate and excited individual to provide community-based services to a diverse clientele dealing with children with problematic sexual behavior, substance use, and trauma. This position is a very important role as an advocate for children and families, often within social service and educational settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a service relationship with youth and family.
- Develop service/treatment plan.
- Provide parents with information on disciplining, behavior management, household management and communication and relationship enhancement when needed; teach youth social skills.
- Provide crisis intervention and mediation as necessary.
- Cookordinate, make referrals, or arrange for appropriate community resources when needed, act as an advocate if necessary.
- Ensure that children are in the proper educational setting.
- Maintain ongoing contacts (phone, meetings, and conferences) with other professionals involved, including collateral contacts with community resources/services.
- Maintain organization and maintenance of client information and case notes.
- Record keeping and copying of necessary information, dissemination to appropriate individuals within the agency and any outside agencies based on departmental requirements.
- Participate in staff training, supervisory and staff meetings.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.
- In times of need, the Case Manager may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
- Employment is contingent upon clear, precise results of a thorough background check.
Benefits
Depending on experience, license, knowledge and education, the pay range is $18.00 - 20.00 an hour.
