What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
- Screen visitors, deliveries, and/or personal property in accordance with site rules and government location protocols, reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Respond to incidents, policy violations, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and perimeter locations to help to deter suspicious activity and support security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required for COLA DPSS/DHS.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
