About the role

As a legal specialist, you will provide legal guidance and direction for projects related to equal pay. You will actively contribute to the implementation of the Equality 2030 strategy and promote the enforcement of equality legislation. You bring several years of experience in public administration and strong expertise in relevant legal areas, along with political sensitivity to legal and socio-political issues concerning gender equality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and direction for projects concerning equal pay and contribute to the implementation of the Equality 2030 strategy.
  • Participate in processing federal council, parliamentary, and departmental files on all relevant equality topics.
  • Promote the implementation of the Equality Act.
  • Lead projects involving research mandates, studies, expert opinions, and reports.
  • Provide legal counsel to various areas of the Federal Office for Gender Equality (FOGE) in carrying out their missions.

Requirements

  • University degree in law (bachelor’s or master’s).
  • Several years of professional experience in public administration.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative law, contract law, and labor law.
  • Proven experience in project leadership and excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Active knowledge of two official Swiss languages, passive knowledge of the third, and very good command of English.
  • Political sensitivity to legal and socio-political issues related to gender equality.
