Junk Removal Specialist

About the role

The Junk Removal Specialist plays a crucial role in our mission to minimize waste and enhance lives, communities, and the environment. As a front-line team member, you will interact directly with customers, ensuring they receive high-quality service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Complete all jobs according to company standards, practices, and mission statement
• Safely load, transport, and unload customer items in accordance with state and local laws
• Aid in training new hires in subordinate roles
• Attend all mandatory training, meetings, and events
• Maintain and report on daily inspections of trucks and equipment
• Embrace and promote a safety culture at The Junkluggers
• Support operational needs, including dispatching
• Act as the primary contact for both management and fellow team members in the field
• Support recruitment efforts and promote company values

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to learn and use technology in the field
• Master skills of both Navigator and Driver positions
• Effective utilization and management of resource locations
• Attention to detail in truck operation, maintenance, and care
• Strong safety attitude and enforcement of company policies
• Confidence and courage in reporting issues to management
• Leadership potential and ability to influence teams
• Full-time availability, including some Saturdays
• Valid IL C-class driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Own mobile phone (company provides tablets for on-the-job duties)
• Ability to lift 75 lbs

Compensation

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
