Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Reading and comprehending work instructions for building pallets and crates for packaging.
- Performing mathematical calculations commonly used in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiently and safely operating various tools for building and constructing pallets and crates to package and safely transport, such as nail and staple guns, drills, saws.
- Assembling/building crates to contain products.
- Loading and unloading products onto freight carrier vehicles.
- Using small hand tools, operating material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, hoists, skids, pallet handlers, and hand trucks or lifting heavy objects by hand within applicable weight limitations.
- Performing any other job duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Following all safety and quality procedures during all work operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a production / industrial environment or equivalent experience.
- The ability and willingness to lift, pull or push 40+ pounds.
- The ability and willingness to work first, second or third shift and scheduled work days, including weekends.
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, squat, and push.
- The ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Multi-tasking skills to accomplish various duties.
- The ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as master schedule, safety rules, operating instructions, drawings/prints and procedure manuals.
- Sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are detected.
- A strong safety record and knowledge of safety rules and practices.
- An understanding of concepts of rotating machinery installations and alignment and occasionally may assist with field service.
- A mechanical aptitude.
Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial setting.
- Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Ability to ensure precision machining and repair of power transmission gearboxes.
