Junior VFD and Electric Motor Technician – Denver, CO

About the role

The Junior VFD and Electric Motor Technician position at Energy Management Corporation (EMC) is a hands-on in-field role for mechanically inclined individuals interested in building a long-term career in industrial electrical and mechanical service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of electric motors, VFDs, and drive systems
• Support troubleshooting and diagnostics using tools and software
• Absorb equipment start-ups and field service calls
• Read and interpret basic electrical schematics
• Communicate findings with customers and internal teams
• Maintain service records and support parts organization
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule
• Occasional travel for service calls

Requirements

• Basic electrical or mechanical aptitude
• Interest in industrial maintenance or field service work
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in the field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with basic electrical and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical schematics
