Service Electrician - Denver Metro Area

Position Summary

CTL Companies (Carry the Light Electric) seeks a skilled Service Electrician to handle complex electrical tasks in residential and light-commercial settings. The role demands strong troubleshooting skills, independence, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including faulty installations and safety hazards.
• Install and upgrade electrical systems such as EV chargers, surge protection, generators, and backup power.
• Assess existing electrical systems and recommend improvements.
• Document findings, provide cost estimates, and ensure customer confidence in the work performed.
• Coordinate with other departments and manage customer expectations during service calls.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and follow safety protocols.
• Participate in on-call or emergency service rotations as needed.
• Identify and communicate legitimate opportunities for system improvements without aggressive sales tactics.

Required Qualifications

• Current Colorado RW or Journeyman Electrician license.
• Minimum of three years of electrical service, troubleshooting, or field installation experience.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and standard electrical construction practices.
• Proven ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
• Experience working in occupied residential and commercial environments.
• Ability to read electrical plans, panel schedules, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass relevant background checks and drug screenings.
• Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, email, photographs, and digital service documentation.
