Junior Trader

Primary Responsibilities

• Executing algorithmic trading strategies in accordance with the trading desk's objectives
• Maintaining and reconciling trading positions throughout the shift
• Conducting start-of-day position and activity reconciliations
• Analyzing post-trade data on various algorithmic trading strategies
• Generating end-of-day Profit and Loss (PnL) and position reports
• Communicating with trading exchanges and internal technology groups about trading system issues
• Reporting and managing any potential compliance issues
• Assisting quantitative traders in researching new trading strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business/finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years' work experience; financial experience preferred, but not required
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and mathematical skills
• Experience with Python programming
• The ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
