About the role

We specialize in providing liquidity as an options market maker, designing and implementing our own low-latency technologies, trading strategies, and mathematical models. Founded by partners in Sydney, Akuna operates from offices in Chicago, Sydney, Shanghai, London, and Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Learn from experienced members of the Trading team and apply knowledge quickly
- Leverage proprietary technology to implement various trading strategies and ideas
- Work with different teams such as Options Market Making, Delta One, Vol Arb, Crypto, Quantitative Strategy Group
- Develop strong mental math and communication skills
- React quickly and accurately to market changes and solve mathematical and coding problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or a related field
- Strong math aptitude and numerical analysis skills
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to adapt to rapid market changes and solve complex problems
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit
- Programming experience preferred
Qualifications
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 or above
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on the first day of employment
