JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Electronic / Mechanical Technician supports the repair, calibration, and testing of industrial electronic and electro-mechanical equipment under the guidance of senior technicians and specialists. This role focuses on developing technical skills while ensuring repaired units meet company quality and performance standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform bench-level electronic and electro-mechanical repairs using industry-standard troubleshooting, and soldering techniques
· Isolate failures at the component level on industrial control equipment
· Repair, calibrate, program, and functionally test industrial electronics, including PLCs, drives, industrial PCBs, timers, counters, monitors, and temperature/process controls
· Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, and test fixtures to verify proper operation and performance
· Perform power-up and functional testing on all repaired units to ensure quality and reliability
· Inspect, clean, and verify part numbers on all units processed
· Order replacement parts as required and ensure correct components are used in repairs
· Accurately document repair actions, troubleshooting steps, parts used, and test results in company tracking and IT systems
· Process pre-evaluation units to “RTS” (Ready to Ship) condition in accordance with quality standards
· Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of all units throughout the repair process
· Support and adhere to established quality methods, processes, and procedures
· Identify opportunities to improve repair processes, testing methods, and final product quality
· Share best practices, technical knowledge, and lessons learned to support team development and consistency
· Effectively manage time and prioritize workload to meet productivity and turnaround expectations
· Properly use and maintain shop assets, tools, and test fixtures; provide and maintain personal hand and power tools as required
· Collaborate effectively in a team environment
· Support development of new capabilities, technologies, and product lines, including servo and robotics systems when applicable

QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or GED required
· Technical certificate in Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field a plus
· Internship, trade school lab experience, or military technical training considered a plus
· Must be a driven individual and Team player
· Required to bring your own tools as specified by the hiring manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to Two years related experience and/or training preferred
- Associates degree in related field a plus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· Technical School Certification (related field) preferred

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position with regular hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required on Saturdays based on customer demand and is mandatory unless cancelled by senior management due to acceptable customer service levels. Additional overtime may also be scheduled as needed. Employees are expected to adhere strictly to attendance and coverage policies. Time off will be granted with proper formal notice and in accordance with company policy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The environment is a warehouse setting. Dress attire is casual but professional in a warehouse setting. All employees are required to wear Security access card and encouraged to wear apparel with company logo. All employees must always adhere to Safety Policies. All handheld users are required to wear the appropriate belt/holster assembly while a unit is in their possession. Closed toe, hard soled shoes must be worn. Safety shoes are recommended.
Production Floor Environment
This position is based on a moderately loud production floor where employees must be able to work safely around mobbing machinery, robotic equipment, and material handling vehicles. The environment includes frequent exposure to mechanical noise, alarms, and activity from people and machines.
Sensory Environment
Employees must be able to verbally communicate and hear clearly to answer phones, respond to auditory alarms, and remain aware of robotic systems, forklifts, utility vehicles, and other personnel. Good visual acuity is essential to monitor the surrounding area for moving equipment and material transfers. This role requires walking throughout the production area and maintaining situational awareness through both hearing and sight to ensure movement and task completion.
