What You'll Do We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Junior Technician to join our cinema equipment rental team. The role involves preparing, testing, maintaining, and supporting professional film and cinema equipment for productions, shoots, and events. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced rental environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, test, clean, and inspect cinema cameras, lenses, monitors, wireless systems, and related equipment.Assist with equipment check-outs, check-ins, packing, and inventory.Build and test camera packages according to production requirements.Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate more complex problems to senior technicians.Perform routine maintenance and report damaged or faulty equipment.Assist technicians and clients with equipment setup and basic technical support.Keep rental equipment organized, labeled, and ready for the next production.Maintain accurate records of equipment, accessories, batteries, cables, and other inventory.Help load and unload equipment safely when required.Follow company procedures for equipment handling, testing, and safety.Stay current with new cinema technology and equipment.Responsibilities may evolve over time; employees maybe asked to take on additional duties as needed to support business priorities What Will Help You Thrive Basic knowledge of professional cinema or video equipment.Familiarity with cameras, lenses, monitors, batteries, media, cables, and accessories is preferred.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to troubleshoot problems logically.Comfortable working with hands and handling expensive technical equipment responsibly.Good communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Willingness to learn new equipment and technical processes.Previous rental-house, production, camera assistant, or technical experience is a plus but not required. Preferred Skills Experience with professional cinema cameras and lenses.Basic understanding of SDI, HDMI, timecode, power, and wireless video/audio systems.Familiarity with camera builds and production workflows.Basic computer and inventory management skills. This is a hands-on role in a professional cinema rental environment. The position may involve lifting and moving equipment, working flexible hours around production schedules, and occasionally assisting with early-morning, late-night, or weekend rentals.
