About the Opportunity

The Junior Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with routine accounting activities. This position contributes to the organization by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes, supporting month-end close activities, and aiding in audit preparation and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Finance with month-end close reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Perform accounts receivable reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts monthly.
• Cross-train to provide backup support for the Director of Finance.
• Aid in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Prepare financial information for audits.
• Update and develop schedules during audit periods.
• Support accounting-related functions as needed.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in accounting or related field.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Capability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
