About the role
The Ansel Lab in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology is seeking a Junior Specialist to join a research project focused on dissecting RNA circuits in T cells to regulate their function in immune responses. The position involves working with primary cell and immortalized cell line cultures, CRISPR genetics, molecular biology, and possibly mouse models of disease.
Responsibilities
- Conducts experiments related to RNA circuits in T cells
- Collaborates with the research team to develop and implement new methods
- Assists in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
- Participates in data analysis using R or Python
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new methods and skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with molecular biology techniques, including DNA cloning and RNA research
- Experience with protein biochemistry
Qualifications
- Current or pending qualifications (e.g., board eligibility/certification, medical licensure)
