About the role

A molecular genetics and neurobiology laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual for a Junior Specialist position. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects and will be trained in and expected to perform a broad range of molecular, cellular, and neurobiological techniques. Additional duties include analyzing and presenting data at lab meetings, preparing reagents and stocks, ordering supplies, and contributing to general laboratory upkeep. The individual will work closely with graduate students, postdoctoral scientists, and the principal investigator, and will have the opportunity to co-author peer-reviewed publications based on their contributions.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in molecular biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, or a related field is required by the start date.
  • Applicants’ materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree field in any of the life sciences.
  • Previous laboratory research experience is strongly desired.
  • Previous experience in molecular biology research.
