Junior Software Developer
Quadrivium Services is seeking a patient, detail-oriented Junior Software Developer eager to build a strong technical foundation in a structured, supportive environment. This entry-level role offers methodical training and paired programming while contributing to web-based applications that support homeschool communities and classical Christian education.

In this position, you’ll receive structured training in company systems and development practices, contributing to feature solutions, performing quality assurance, and participating in paired programming with experienced developers. The role emphasizes steady technical growth, precise problem-solving, and dependable documentation in a stable, well-organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete structured training in company systems and development practices over your first year.
- Contribute to feature solutions according to design specifications, delivering assigned work on schedule.
- Perform unit-level and feature-level testing by established standards to maintain high-quality code.
- Participate in paired programming with mid-level and senior developers to absorb best practices.
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems methodically with patience and attention to detail.
- Document code changes and maintain accurate, consistent technical documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and provide thoughtful feedback to strengthen team code quality.
- Complete assigned training modules and certifications within established timelines.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a Computer Science-related field (Bachelor's preferred) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- No prior software development experience required; 1 year preferred.
- Basic knowledge of unit testing theory and Test-Driven Development principles.
- Basic knowledge of software development, including the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Exposure to web development using HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and C# (desired).
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to follow design specifications, test plans, and directions in building applications.

Pay
$36,000 – $46,200 per year.
Schedule
Full-time, exempt, regular position. On-site at the CC Home Office in Southern Pines, NC.
Work Environment
- Climate-controlled workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods (up to 8 hours daily).
- Color vision required for reviewing charts, graphs, and visual presentations.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
